EXAMINING THE NEW MUET SYLLABUS

Beginning 2021, students will be taking the new CEFR-aligned MUET papers. In order to effectively guide the students, the English Unit lecturers attended a workshop to examine the latest MUET syllabus and exam format to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills. The workshop was conducted by Ms Noor Firdaus binti Ramli @ Yusof on 8 July 2020 at Language Lab 1. Madam Umi Khalsum binti Ab Aziz was the workshop coordinator.

THE NEW ENGLISH SYLLABUS: 2021 CASCADING WORKSHOP

A workshop was organized by the Matriculation Division of the Malaysian Ministry of Education (BMKPM) aimed to illuminate the changes and upgrades of the English Language syllabus for the matriculation programme. The English language lecturers from Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang were involved as participants in the workshop. The details of the workshop were as follows:

VIDEOGRAPHY AND VIDEO EDITING TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP

The English Unit had organised a workshop called "Videography and Video Editing Techniques" on the 22nd of July 2021. The aim of the workshop was to expose participants to videography techniques that lecturers could adapt to further enhance their teaching and learning materials preparation. The coordinators of the workshop were Puan Rozlin Suhaida and Puan Azlin Afzan. All lecturers from the Jabatan Sastera Ikhtisasdan Sains Sosial were invited to join the workshop. The invited speaker was En. Tuan Yusnizi Bin Tuan Sukri from the Physics Unit of Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang. The participants were exposed to an online video editing application called Inshot.

MUET NEW SYLLABUS CONSOLIDATION WORKSHOP (BENGKEL PEMANTAPAN SILIBUS BAHARU MUET)

This workshop was carried out on Friday, 23rd of July 2021 involving 20 lecturers from the English Unit of Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang. An invited speaker, Puan Shafinas Binti Sharifuddin from the Faculty of Language and Foundation Studies of Islamic of Kolej Universiti Islam Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah (UNIPSAS). Puan Shafinas is an experienced MUET examiner, facilitator, and trainer since 2004. Thank you Puan Shafinas for enlightening us with your knowledge in MUET.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTO EDITING TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP

The English language lecturers of KMPh had once again the privilege of meeting En. Tuan Yusnizi Bin Tuan Sukri from the Physics Unit of KMPh in a 'Photography and Photo Editing Techniques' workshop. The coordinators of this workshop were Puan Norzahana Bt Zainol and Puan Aminah Bt Nordin. The participants were eager to increase their knowledge about photography and editing techniques using online applications. The course was carried out on 24th of July 2021 from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
